Long non-coding RNA

Next generation sequencing (NGS) has revealed a complex landscape of transcription across the non-coding genome, allowing the discovery of novel epigenetic regulators involved in cardiac specification and maturation, as well as cardiac regeneration. Other than transcription factors and chromatin modifiers, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) have gained attention as important modulators of cardiac biology and pathophysiology.

Our lab has established robust differentiation and trans-differentiation protocols aimed at uncovering new lncRNAs involved in cardiac development and disease.
