CRISPR/CAS9 Genome Editing

The Foo lab is using CRISPR/Cas9 tools in many different ways both in vitro & in vivo. The various CRISPR techniques have deployed gene knockout & deletions, transgene & reporter insertions via HDR, generation of point mutations via base-editing & HDR, CRISPR-activation & inhibition of genes as well as live imaging of chromosomal loci with fluorescently tagged dCas9.

We have harnessed techniques & tools published by many leading research groups and have adapted and developed these tools in our own hands to obtain efficient targeting in e.g. human ES cells, as well as in the in vivo mouse heart.
