Roger is a Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Senior Consultant at the National University Heart Centre Singapore (NUHCS), Deputy Director at the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI),  and Senior Group Leader at the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS). His lab supported the set up of the first Cardiac Genetics clinic in Singapore in 2013, and leads in the Epigenetics Theme for many of the largest Cardiovascular grants in the country. Research in the lab makes use of genomic technology to study the cardiac epigenome and discover novel Heart Failure mechanisms. Roger loves reading public scientific, historical and current affairs literature. He keeps as much as possible to a daily swimming regime, and uses WhatsApp and Instagram to keep up with the dizzy lives of his teenager children who live abroad.
